Rather than relying entirely on the kindness of those who give to us, we try to produce some of our own income - just like a Thai family would do.

This is good for the children, who learn essential skills about managing in life and specific lessons in how to organise and run small businesses.

We already have six projects, some more advanced than others, and we hope they will give us an earned income in coming years. These projects are:

Bakery Producing bread, muffins, cakes, cookies and pizzas. Read more

Fish farm Raising catfish and other fish mostly for Home & Life children to eat. Read more

Handicrafts Necklaces and wrist bands, T-shirts, aprons, hot-air lanterns and paintings. Read more

Thai dancing Performances at events. Read more

Organic produce Mostly for Home and Life consumption but surplus will be offered for sale. Read more

Volunteer programme We take a limited number of foreign volunteers to help the children and the home and this also produces an income. Read more

The children are fully involved in the projects, as they would be involved in a Thai family, and they help with the work and the running of the ventures. But their school education and welfare come first: the projects are just part of their lives.

We like the children to enjoy what they do and none has to do anything he or she does not want to do.

If you have skills that you can teach in these projects, please volunteer! Telephone Bhudit Maneejak ('Root') on +66 (0) 819513237 or email him at homelifethailand@yahoo.com

Children of all ages can join in any
activities whether it is organic
gardening (top), baking (above), Thai dancing (left) or fish farming (below).
This helps build the Home & Life
family spirit.
